The Puerto Rico Tourism Company announced on Friday, January 11, 2008 through its Executive Director Ms. Terestella González that the Lighthouse Cycling Tour is one of the nine (9) scheduled sports events in Puerto Rico for 2008 that is expected to have the greatest impact on our local economy. The other nine events in alphabetical order are:

• Abraham Rosa International Race (10K marathon)
• Culebra Heineken International Regatta (Yachting)
• Fifth Edition of the Burger King Race (10K Race)
• Lighthouse Cycling Tour 2008 (3 day Cycling Tour)
• Male Volleyball Pre Olimpics
• Puerto Rico Open 2008 (PGA Tour)
• San Blas Marathon (13.1 miles)
• World’s Best 10K (over the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge)
• Xtreme Divers (International Parachuting Event)

At San Juan Cycling Club we feel extremely proud and humbled to be mentioned among such a fine group of sports events in this our only second year and look forward to exceeding the expectations of all its participants just as we have in the past two editions.
